Sinopsis:
Empire Earth vuelve a PC con la tercera entrega de la saga, renovada y pulida hasta sus cimientos, para ofrecer al jugador una experiencia fresca y ágil. Tras una pequeña presentación del juego en el E3, os contamos los últimos detalles de la obra de Mac Doc Software.

Dirigiendo el destino mundial

La estrategia en tiempo real tiene en la saga Empire Earth uno de los mejores baluartes del género en los últimos años. Con los lanzamientos de su primera y segunda parte en 2001 y 2005, Mac Doc Software consiguió crear una verdadera alternativa a la veterana saga de Ensemble Studios, Age of Empires. Tras una segunda parte donde la abundancia de opciones fue la tónica habitual hasta el punto de llegar a apabullar al jugador, la desarrolladora ha enfocado esta nueva iteración de forma radicalmente distinta. Sus últimos avances de desarrollo se han presentado durante este E3 en pequeñas demostraciones con suficiente contenido como para valorar el cambio de dirección que se ha tomado. La nueva máxima juego es la simplicidad y comodidad para el jugador por encima de todo. La propia desarrolladora lo ha remarcado reconociendo que en el pasado pecaron de querer dar una excesiva profundidad a las opciones de control.

Tras adelantaros los primeros datos del juego en nuestras impresiones de la versión Alpha, no ha sido hasta el show de Santa Mónica cuando la desarrolladora ha ofrecido más datos. Como se pudo comprobar en un primer contacto, Empire Earth 3 contará con tres facciones (que no países) , y cinco épocas distintas de la historia. Estos números abandonan las abultadas cifras de su antecesor, donde el número de fases temporales superaba la docena. Como hemos puntualizado, las facciones no serán ejércitos en sí, si no que agruparán un conjunto de las naciones que engloban cada territorio. La lista de facciones estará formada por Occidente, Oriente medio y el lejano Oriente. En contrapunto a la estructura interna, cada facción contará con ciertas particularidades que afectarán a su estilo de construcción, así como al repertorio de unidades al que se podrá optar.
